RULES AND GUIDELINES

1. The competition is open for all students currently pursuing school and college.
2. Participants should not submit dual registration (via school for interschool bhajan competition)
3. Participants may send their details by post/ in person.
4. Each group should have a minimum of 5 and maximum of 12 members including instrumentalists.
5. The performance must include a song on
Sampradaya Guru.
6. Special prize will be awarded for best song on Kanchi Maha Periyava sponsored by Sri
Krishna Sweets.
7. The groups must bring their own Shruti box, preferably battery operated.
8. Participants are not allowed to have a copy of the lyrics for reference.
9. Total time for performance is 30 minutes.
10. First 12 teams to register shall be considered for participation.
11. Maximum of 2 teams can participate from a music school/ academy.
12. Judge's decision will be final.
13. Registration fee can be sent via courier/ speed post/ in-person as cash/ cheque/ DD in favour of

14. Apart from individual prizes, rolling trophies will be awarded to top 3 music academies.

INTERSCHOOL BHAJAN COMPETITION

RULES AND GUIDELINES
1. Each group should have a minimum of 5 and maximum of 12 members including instrumentalists with at least 3 lead singers.
2. Participants may send their details by post/ in person.
3. The groups must bring their own Shruti box, preferably battery operated.
4. Participants are not allowed to have a copy of the lyrics for reference.
5. The list of songs to be performed should be submitted at the registration counter on the day of the event.
6. Total time for performance is 30 minutes.
7. The songs list must include a song on Sampradaya Guru, an Abhang, a song on Kanchi Mahaperiyava and a Thevaram or Divya Prabandham.
8. Namavalis must be performed for at least 2 songs.
9. Judge's decision will be final.
10. Registration fee can be paid via speed post/ courier/ in person as cash/ cheuque/ DD in favour of Sree Suprabatha Sabha to 10/6 Baroda II street, West Mambalam, Chennai-33.
11. Top 9 groups will be awarded rolling trophies.
12. Members of winning teams will get individual prizes.
13. Two consolation prizes will be awarded.
14. A special prize will be awarded for best song on Sampradaya Guru, Kanchi Mahaperiyava and Abhang each. These special prizes are sponsored by Sri Krishna Sweets.
15. Special prize will be awarded for best percussionist and instrumentalist (harmonium/ violin/ keyboard).
