RULES AND GUIDELINES
1. The competition is open for all students currently pursuing school and college.
2. Participants should not submit dual registration (via school for interschool bhajan competition)
3. Participants may send their details by post/ in person.
4. Each group should have a minimum of 5 and maximum of 12 members including instrumentalists.
5. The performance must include a song on
Sampradaya Guru.
6. Special prize will be awarded for best song on Kanchi Maha Periyava sponsored by Sri
Krishna Sweets.
7. The groups must bring their own Shruti box, preferably battery operated.
8. Participants are not allowed to have a copy of the lyrics for reference.
9. Total time for performance is 30 minutes.
10. First 12 teams to register shall be considered for participation.
11. Maximum of 2 teams can participate from a music school/ academy.
12. Judge's decision will be final.

RULES AND GUIDELINES
1. Each group should have a minimum of 5 and maximum of 12 members including instrumentalists with at least 3 lead singers.
2. Participants may send their details by post/ in person.
3. The groups must bring their own Shruti box, preferably battery operated.
4. Participants are not allowed to have a copy of the lyrics for reference.
5. The list of songs to be performed should be submitted at the registration counter on the day of the event.
6. Total time for performance is 30 minutes.
7. The songs list must include a song on Sampradaya Guru, an Abhang, a song on Kanchi Mahaperiyava and a Thevaram or Divya Prabandham.
8. Namavalis must be performed for at least 2 songs.
9. Judge's decision will be final.
10. Registration fee can be paid via speed post/ courier/ in person as cash/ cheuque/ DD in favour of Sree Suprabatha Sabha to 10/6 Baroda II street, West Mambalam, Chennai-33.
11. Top 9 groups will be awarded rolling trophies.
12. Members of winning teams will get individual prizes.
13. Two consolation prizes will be awarded.
14. A special prize will be awarded for best song on Sampradaya Guru, Kanchi Mahaperiyava and Abhang each. These special prizes are sponsored by Sri Krishna Sweets.
15. Special prize will be awarded for best percussionist and instrumentalist (harmonium/ violin/ keyboard).

RULES & GUIDELINES
1. Participants can come to Sree Suprabatha Sabha at 10/6 Baroda II street, West Mambalam, Chennai-600 033 and fill out the registration form. Registration fee can be paid by cash.
2. Participants should provide the list of songs in a separate paper during registration.
3. Those who are already performing in concerts should not participate.
4.First 30 applications will be considered for participation in each age group.
5. Those who have already won lst prize in a category cannot contest in that category again but they may participate in other categories in the same age group (classical/ devotional, etc.).
6. 1st Prize Winners of an age group may contest again in the next age group if they have reached that age.
7. Change of song is allowed upto 2 days to the competition, last hour changes will not be entertained
8.Time will be intimated 4 days before the event.
9.Participants are expected to bring their own shruti box, preferably battery operated.
10. Decision of Judges will be Final.
SONGS LIST
SENIOR: From 16 years (completed) to 23 years
1.Classical: 1 Ata tala varanam (2 speeds), 2 kritis of Shyama Shastri, 1 Swathi Tirunal, 1 Papanasam Sivam, 1 Pattanam Subramaniya lyer
2. Muthuswamy Deekshitar Kritis: 5 kritis including at least 1 Navavarnam or
Navagraha Kriti
3.Thyagaraja Kritis: 5 kritis including 1 Kshetra Kritis.
4.Divya nama & Utsava Sampradaya Kritis of Thyagaraja Swamy: 5 Divyanama
5. Utsava Sampradaya KritisRagam Neraval and Swara Singing: Participants should furnish a list of Five Kritis including 2 from Trinities in which they should be prepared to render Alapana, Neraval and Swaram.

They will be asked to perform any song from the list as per judges choice.
Those who are already giving public concerts are not eligible. Any age group can participate in raga neraval swaram until their 22nd birthday.
6. Devotional: 5 kritis, in light tunes, one from each composer Annamacharya, Purandaradasar, Jayadevar, Narayana Theerthar,
Bharathiyar.
JUNIORS - From 12 years (completed) to 16 years
1.Classical: 2 Adi TalaVarnams 2 Speeds & Five Kritis choosing one from each of the given composers. Sri Thyagaraja Swami, Sri Muthuswami Dikshitar, Sri Shyama sastrigal, Sri Swati Tirunal and Sri Papanasam Sivan. Atleast one song of any given composers should be in any one of the following Ragas - Kalyani, Kamboji, Thodi or Sankarabharanam
2. Divyanama & Utsava Sampradaya Kritis of Thyagaraja Swamy: 4 Divyanama & 4 Utsava Sampradaya kritis of Thyagaraja Swamy.
3. Devotional Five songs in light tunes from Purandaradasar, Annamacharya, Narayana theerthar, Jayadevar and Subramaniya Bharathiyar choosing atleast three composers.
SUB-JUNIORS: From 8 years (completed) to 12 years
1.Classical: 2 Adi tala varnam (2 speeds), trinity and Papanasam Shivan choosing any 3 composers Sri Thyagaraja Swami, Sri Muthuswami Dikshitar, Sri Shyama sastrigal
2. Divyanama & Utsava Sampradaya Kritis of Thyagaraja Swamy: 6 kritis choosing 3 from divyanamam and utsava sampradayam.
3. Devotional: Annamacharya, Purandaradasar, Bharatiyar- 3 songs in light tunes from atleast any 2 of the above composers.
